About
The question whether to revenge or not to revenge (his father’s death), how, when or if at all, becomes the question of “to be or not to be” – doubt and delays of action are the tools to contemplation and resolve. In “Hamlet”, death provides an end to the protagonists’ lives but not to the question’s solution. It’s a play that is all “process” throughout, but its end is merely technical. Contemplation and observance become an end in themselves.
