Hamlet

The question whether to revenge or not to revenge (his father’s death), how, when or if at all, becomes the question of “to be or not to be” – doubt and delays of action are the tools to contemplation and resolve.

The question whether to revenge or not to revenge (his father’s death), how, when or if at all, becomes the question of “to be or not to be” – doubt and delays of action are the tools to contemplation and resolve. In “Hamlet”, death provides an end to the protagonists’ lives but not to the question’s solution. It’s a play that is all “process” throughout, but its end is merely technical. Contemplation and observance become an end in themselves.
